Engineer.
Builder. Systems Thinker. Documenting disciplined growth.
Hello
— I’m Nahid Hasan.
I
created this website several years ago, but I hadn’t been updating it
consistently.
As of March 1, 2026, I’m rebuilding this space with a clearer
vision.
This
website is my personal platform to consolidate what I’m learning, building,
exploring, and creating — across engineering, technology, entrepreneurship, and
life.
Professional
Background
I
am an Electrical Engineer with a Master’s degree from South Dakota
State University (2019). During my time at SDSU, I worked for two years as
a Research Assistant at the Image Processing Laboratory, focusing on image
processing and applied remote sensing research.
After
graduation, I worked with ARSI for two years. Since 2021, I have been working
at the USGS EROS Center as a Geometric Calibration
Engineer within the Calibration & Validation team. My work centers
around satellite geometric calibration, sensor alignment, precision assessment,
and long-term performance analysis — primarily supporting the Landsat mission.
You can find me on Linkedin if
connecting professionally.
I
enjoy solving complex technical problems involving imaging systems, geometry,
and large-scale data analysis. Much of my work involves building analytical
tools, automation workflows, and computational models using Python and
scientific computing methods.
What
This Website Is Becoming
Rather
than keeping my interests scattered across different platforms, I’m
intentionally consolidating them here.
This
site will reflect:
- Photography — primarily wildlife and
nature (with separate creative channels and portfolio work)
- Technical
tutorials —
programming, engineering workflows, calibration concepts, automation
tools, and system design
- Robotics
& Computer Vision exploration
- Hands-on
engineering builds —
audio systems, hardware experimentation, performance optimization
- Personal
goals and project documentation
- Occasional
reflections on principles, mindset, and growth
I
believe in learning publicly, building consistently, and thinking in systems —
whether that system is a satellite sensor model, a software pipeline, a
hardware build, or personal development.
Long-Term
Vision
I
am deeply interested in creating independent value through engineering and
technology — whether that means:
- Building
analytical tools
- Creating
educational technical content
- Developing
geospatial or imaging-related products
- Exploring
drone and satellite-based solutions
- Or
launching focused technical ventures in the future
This
website is part of that long-term journey.
It
is not just a resume.
It is a living archive of progress.
